Thinking About Cabbages in Vegetable Sticks

Why do vegetable sticks sold at convenience stores contain cabbage in them?

I like the unique hard texture of vegetable sticks. However, cabbages don't have that texture, and best of all, cabbages are not "stick."

Do you think that cabbages are need for vegetable sticks?
