[Unit Project 2] An Easy Magic Trick That a Beginner Came Up With in 2 Minutes
I have seen many magic tricks on TV, and I am very impressed by the dexterity of the magicians. So, I devised a simple magic trick that even a clumsy person like me can do, and I thought I would share it with you. I also thought that this theme of "Writing a Procedure" and the event "Revealing the Magic Tricks" went very well together. By the way, this is the first time in my life to perform a magic trick in public.
What to prepare:
・Two envelopes
・Coin [A]
・Coin [B]
・One table
Procedures:
1. Put two envelopes and one coin on the table.
2. Make sure that both envelopes are empty.
(In fact, there is already coin [A] in the back of one of the two envelopes.)
3. Put the coin in one of the envelopes then return it to its original position.
(At this time, put coin [B] in the back of the envelope which is empty.)
4. Swap the positions of the two envelopes slowly.
5. Snap your fingers.
6. Ask to spectators, "Which envelope contains the coin?"
7. Make sure that the envelope that had contained the coin is now empty.
(The coin [B] is in the back of the envelope.)
8. Make sure that the envelope that had been empty is now contains the coin.
(This is the coin [A] that was already in the envelope from the beginning.)
If you did correctly, it will appear as if a single coin has been teleported between two envelopes. One thing to note when performing this magic trick is that you must use double-layered envelopes. Double-layered envelopes are normally sold at 100 yen stores and other stores. Also, this time I used 1 yen coins, but you can use anything light and thin, such as bills. When you get together with your family and relatives during the New Year holidays, try this magic trick using Otoshidama and envelopes you received.
